Oct 03, 2018 (newstodate): The new Ukrainian carrier SkyUp has been granted TCO status by EASA.
Only operators holding a TCO authorization from EASA may operate commercial flights to and from the EASA Member States as well as Norway, Switzerland and Iceland
SkyUp that received its AOC only on May 16, 2018, is thus now free to operate flights to European countries, and the carrier is to announce the first routes in the near future.
In the fleet of SkyUp are now two Boeing 737-800 and one Boeing 737-700.
Plans are to add three more aircraft before the end of 2018, growing further to eight aircraft in 2020, and to 12 in 2020.
The airline is fully owned by Ukrainian capital, with 50 percent of the stake held by the two owners behind the country's leading tour operator JoinUp, Tatiana and Yuri Alba.
