Oct 16, 2018 (newstodate): Lithuania's Vilnius Airport is seeing a brisk growth in cargo volumes in 2018.
In September 2018, the cargo volumes continued this year's sustained growth by increasing 26.8 percent, y-o-y, to handling of 1,140 tonnes.
During the first nine months of 2018 the airport's total cargo volumes are thus 37 percent over last year's volumes, reaching 9,169 tonnes of cargo and mail.
The significant boost to the airport's cargo is not least provided by Turkish Cargo now operating two weekly Airbus A330-200F flights through Vilnius Airport since April 19, 2018, coming in from Prague and returning to Istanbul after the call at Vilnius.
