Oct 08, 2018 (newstodate): The Russian LCC Pobeda has opened flights between Moscow Vnukovo Airport and Helsinki.
With the first flight on October 5, 2018, Pobeda is now offering a daily rotation on the route with Boeing 737-500 aircraft.
The new service is a result of raising the limit for flights between Moscow and Helsinki from 35 to 42 and allowing for the entry of a 3rd operator on the route, agreed in August 2018 between Russia and Finland.
Doubling the volumes of flights on the rote from April 10, 2017, Finnair now operates four daily rotations in co-operation with Aeroflot Russian Airlines.
