Oct 12, 2018 (newstodate): The Russian LCC Pobeda, a subsidiary of Aeroflot, has developed a strong taste for Italy.
With the first flight on October 11, 2018, the carrier has introduced three weekly rotations on a new route between St Petersburg Pulkovo Airport and Milan Bergamo, using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
At the same time Pobeda is also to increase the number of flights on its route to Bergamo from Moscow.
From the start of the winter season on October 28, 2018, the carrier will add two weekly rotations to its current daily schedule, and from December 21, the airline will add five more weekly flights, resulting in a twice-daily service on the route.
Russia has now become Milan Bergamo's 8th largest country market this winter, with over 370,000 passengers having flown with Pobeda since the LCC commenced operations from the airport three years ago.
Based at Moscow Vnukovo Airport and now operating a fleet comprising 22 Boeing 737-800 aircraft, Pobeda received its AOC on November 11, 2014, and performed its maiden flight on December 1, 2014.
