Oct 15, 2018 (newstodate): While Small Planet Airlines Poland is still amid a process to seek new investors to keep the airline flying, the carrier's pilots and cabin crew at least do not have to worry about future employment.
The Polish carrier LOT has started a campaign to attract redundant cockpit and cabin crews from Small Planet Airlines Poland as this carrier reins in activities at the end of the summer season.
LOT is offering a full training package without any costs for Small Planet Airlines pilots to transfer from Airbus A320 Family aircraft to piloting aircraft in the LOT fleet including Bombardier Q400 and Embraer 170/190 aircraft, with future options for transferring to Boeing 737 and Boeing 787 aircraft type certification within three years after employment with LOT.
This summer, Small Planet Airlines Poland has been operating a fleet of 12 aircraft manned by some 100 pilots and 300 cabin crew members, and LOT is eager to attract as many of them as possible to meet plans for adding an additional 300 pilots by 2019.
