Oct 30, 2018 (newstodate): As expected, the Danish charter carrier and ACMI provider Jet Time is now stepping up its cooperation with TUI Nordic.
In September 2018, TUI Nordic announced its decision to start a process towards outsourcing its short-haul charter flights to partner airlines.
Consequently, TUI Nordic's flights out of Copenhagen and Helsinki will be served by Jet Time, TUI Nordic flights out of Oslo will be served by Norwegian, while TUI Nordic's current own bases at Malmo, Oslo and Helsinki together employing some 150 staff will be closed down.
Based on sustained positive results from its turn-around process since early 2017, Jet Time is thus in a position to commence growth again, adding two more Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its fleet currently comprising six similar aircraft.
In this winter's schedule, Jet Time will double its volume of flights for TUI Nordic out of Copenhagen and Helsinki, with one of the two new aircraft operating out of Copenhagen and Malmo from November 2018, while the second newcomer will be allocated to flights from Helsinki to Mediterranean leisure destinations.
