Oct 12, 2018 (newstodate): While Ethiopian Cargo remains sitting on the fence when it comes to launch of a planned freighter service at Oslo Airport, the passenger airline is to expand its Scandinavian service.
In the coming winter schedule, Ethiopian Airlines will add one more frequency to its route Addis Ababa-Stockholm-Oslo from December 10, 2018, and replace the Boeing 787-8 with the larger Boeing 787-9 on one of these rotations.
The carrier will then be operating six weekly rotations instead of five in the current schedule.
Ethiopian Airways has been operating the route Addis Ababa-Stockholm since October 28, 2003, after moving its Scandinavian services from Copenhagen Airport, Denmark, and with the first flight on March 26, 2017, the Star Alliance member extended the route to include Oslo.
