Oct 11, 2018 (newstodate): In August 2018, Copenhagen Airport handled a total of 28,692 tonnes of cargo, airlines and integrators combined.
This compares to 25,162 tonnes in August 2017, corresponding to an increase by 14 percent, y-o-y.
For January-August 2018, the trend is that the growth in volumes is generated primarily by the rise in cargo handled by the integrators DHL and Fedex, that was up 18.6 percent, y-o-y, to 51,206 tonnes during the period.
Looking only at the cargo volumes carried by commercial airlines, belly cargo at 80,822 tonnes was up 7,34 percent in the period, compared to 75,298 tonnes in Jan-Aug 2017.
Cargo on commercial freighter, 33,899 tonnes in Jan-Aug 2018, was however down 18.4 percent, from 41,565 tonnes in 2017.
