Oct 09, 2018 (newstodate) Moldova's national carrier Air Moldova is seemingly heading for a bright future after the take-over by Romania's Blue Air.
Representatives from the two companies have met to confirm the plans for the future and agree that the Air Moldova brand name will remain unchanged while its potentials will be developed to the full in the coming few years.
Besides footing the heap of debts accumulated over time by Air Moldova, Blue Air will assist the airline with investments to secure that Air Moldova's aircraft fleet will be doubled over the coming three years, facilitating a growth in the route network to comprise flights on new routes to both eastern and western Europe.
In the fleet of Air Moldova are today four Airbus A320 Family aircraft and three Embraer E-190 aircraft, while Blue One operates 30 Boeing 737 aircraft of various types including 16 NG aircraft, with 12 MAX 8 aircraft on the order list.
