Oct 03, 2018 (newstodate): Latvia's airBaltic is soon to take delivery of its 13th Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
The aircraft performed its first flight on September 18, 2018, and is now readying for completion of the test flights program prior to delivery, probably within a week.
The carrier has announced that this year's delivery scheme will bring the fleet of the Airbus aircraft to 14, but the last remaining aircraft has not reached the final position on the assembly line, and has still to hit the tarmac.
airBaltic is thus well under way to have all 20 deliveries in its initial order completed by the end of 2019.
After that will follow the start of deliveries under a fresh firm purchase agreement signed on May 28, 2018, for another batch of 30 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with options for an additional 30 aircraft of the same type.
