Jan 16, 2018 (newstodate): Russian airlines are exhausting their aircraft capacity by aggressive charter flight programs.
The Russian regulator, Rosaviatsiya has ordered four airlines to cut the charter flight programs.
Azur Air, Nordwind and Ikar have been ordered to cut their charter flight program by 30, while Royal Flight must reduce by 20 percent.
By the end of 2017, another six Russian airlines received similar orders.
Behind the move is the observation that the airlines would have no spare capacity to handle their scheduled flights programs by over-utilizing their existing fleets.
