Jan 22, 2018 (newstodate): The new Ukrainian carrier SkyUP is now recruiting flight officers after having filled all openings for cabin crew staff.
The carrier is thus in the market for right-seat pilots for its coming fleet of four Boeing 737-700 aircraft, and offers a fast track program for advancing to the captain's seat in the cockpit.
The carrier will be based in Kiev with plans for first flights by April from Kiev, Kharkiv, Lviv and Odessa to 16 leisure destinations.
By the end of May or early June 2017, the carrier will add scheduled domestic flights in Ukraine between Kiev and Odessa and Kharkiv-Odessa while scheduled international flights will follow from later in 2018 between Kiev and Barcelona, Dubai and Larnaca.
Plans are to grow the fleet to six in 2019, to eight in 2020, and to 10 in 2021.
The airline is fully owned by Ukrainian capital with 50 percent of the stake held by the two owners behind the country's leading tour operator JoinUp, Tatiana and Yuri Alba.
