Jan 23, 2018 (newstodate): The world's leading turboprop lessor, Denmark's NAC has placed an order for 20 ATR 42 and ATR 72-600 aircraft.
The order placed with ATR marks NAC's 100th aircraft order directly with the aircraft manufacturer, and the 20 new aircraft will be placed on a lease contract with the US carrier Silver Airways.
The new aircraft, along with five from an existing order between ATR and NAC, will be leased to Silver Airways, making them the first operator of ATR -600 series aircraft in the USA, and will replace Silver Airways existing fleet of 21 Saab 340B aircraft.
In the fleet of NAC are now 140 ATR 72 and 28 ATR 42 aircraft placed with carriers around the world.
