Jan 24, 2018 (newstodate): All restrictions on Kazakhstan's airlines to operate into the EU markets have now been lifted.
As of today, five Kazakh carriers Air Astana, SCAT, Komlux, KazAirDjet and Prime Aviation are entitled to operate commercial flights between Kazakhstan and European markets.
After a recent inspection in late 2017, it is expected that ICAO will announce the upgrading of Kazakhstan's civil aviation to international standards.
Kazakhstan has been intent on regaining its access to EU airspace denied since 2009, with it was first entered on the EU Aviation Blacklist.
