Jan 30, 2017 (newstodate): The Hungarian LCC Wizz Air is restructuring its base network.
Prague will be closed as a Wizz Air base from June 14, and a decision has also been made to close down two other bases in Lublin, Poland, and Targu Mures, Romania, in June.
Prague was established as a Wizz Air base in July 2009, Lublin from September 2015, and Targu Mures was set up in May 2007.
Replacing Prague as a Wizz Air base is Vienna that will be opened as a base from June 14, 2018, with the stationing of one Airbus A320, to be followed by a further two Airbus A321 at a later date.
