Jan 29, 2018 (newstodate): In 2017, Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport remained the largest airport in the Moscow region, measured in cargo and mail volumes.
The airport handled a total of 321,250 tonnes of cargo, up 27.1 percent, y-o-y, and 24,853 tonnes of mail which was also an increase by 43.8 percent in 2017.
A total of 122,862 tonnes of cargo was handled at Moscow Domodedovo Airport, up 3.2 percent, in addition to 25,473 tonnes of mail, up 10.2 percent.
Moscow Vnukovo Airport handled 58,494 tonnes of cargo, up 32.5 percent, and 10,260 tonnes of mail, an increase by 34.5 percent, y-o-y.
