Jan 11, 2018 (newstodate): Cargo statistics from Armenia must be handled with utmost care...
Yerevan Zvartnots International Airport is said to have handled a total of 22,324 tonnes of cargo in 2017, an increase by 22.1 percent, y-o-y.
Earlier, the airport reported cargo volumes in January-September 2017 at 17,183 tonnes which was said to be an increase by 49.7 percent. Which would mean that much cargo virtually "disappeared" during the last three months of the year to get growth down from 49.7 to just over 20 percent..
And to make matters worse, Armenia's General Department of Civil Aviation reported in November 2017 that cargo volumes during the first 10 months of the year were up 42.2 percent, y-o-y, to "only" 910 tonnes.
