Jan 09, 2018 (newstodate): Finland seems to be ranking higher and higher in the eyes of Chinese airlines' route planners.
Managing the civil aviation in China is CAAC that is now also considering an application by Tibet Airlines for start of commercial scheduled services between Jinan, in China's Shandong Province, and Helsinki.
Tibet Airlines has thus filed for rights to start operations from March 2018 with three weekly rotations using Airbus A330 aircraft.
Tibet Airlines operates a fleet comprising 24 Airbus aircraft including three Airbus A330-200.
As earlier reported, the HNA Group subsidiary Lucky Air has applied to the Civil Aviation Administration of China to open a route from Kunming to Helsinki in 2018.
Plans were to start operations from January 17, 2018, which is however hardly going to happen
