Sep 29, 2017 (newstodate): Iran Air is said to be close to announcing start of flights from Tehran to Copenhagen Airport.
Sources have indicated a start of services from October 2017, already, but this is not confirmed by the airline's office in Denmark.
-We are awaiting information from our headquarters and expect a decision to be announced on flights to Copenhagen, a sales representative at Iran Air in Copenhagen tells newstodate.
-There is, however, no indication that flights will commence already in October. We just have to wait and see, she adds.
Air services between Denmark and Tehran have remained suspended since March 2017 as Mahan Air's twice-weekly operations from June 9, 2016, were put on hold due to an issue with on-board armed air marshals.
In Sweden, Iran Air is to a second weekly frequency to its flights from Tehran to Gothenburg starting from the coming winter schedule on October 31, 2017.
Iran Air is also serving Sweden's capital, Stockholm with two weekly rotations from Tehran using Airbus A330-200 aircraft, going up to three weekly rotations from November 2017.
