Sep 28, 2017 (newstodate): The Icelandic LCC WOW Air has extended its contract with Danish aircraft maintenance company Aeroservice into 2018.
Aeroservice handed over its first project with WOW Air in April 2017 after having worked since March 2016 to set up a new aircraft line maintenance organization for WOW Air at Iceland's Keflavik Airport.
WOW Air is now fully capable of handling its aircraft maintenance requirements but as the Airbus is still rather new in the fleets of Icelandic aviation that has so far had its focus on Boeing aircraft, Aeroservice remains contracted for another year to allocate Airbus certified technicians to the maintenance base in support of the growing fleet of Airbus A320 Family and Airbus A330 aircraft fleet.
