Sep 11, 2017 (newstodate): Russia's St Petersburg Pulkovo Airport will receive its second international low-cost operator in 2017.
On the Russian horizon is now the Chinese low-cost carrier Lucky Air planning to launch flights to St Petersburg from Chengdu in China, starting from October 31, 2017, with two weekly rotations using Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
This will thus become the carrier's first operation to Europe, but more destinations are soon to be added.
Set up in 2004, the carrier is now part of the HNA Group and U-FLY Alliance and plans to set up a international network including destinations in Europe and North America.
The first foreign low-cost carrier at Russia's St Petersburg Pulkovo Airport was Wizz Air starting from August 27, 2017, and now offering two weekly rotations from Budapest with Airbus A320 aircraft.
