Sep 28, 2017 (newstodate): Airlines are increasingly competing to attract more crew members to their growing fleets, making especially pilots big game.
Wizz Air, the largest low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, has thus announced the launch of the largest recruiting campaign in its history as it intends to create nearly 1,300 jobs next year, bringing the Wizz Air crew to over 4,500 members.
The carrier will now arrange 400 recruiting events for pilots and cabin crew from October to the end of 2018 in more than 25 countries.
In the fleet of Wizz Air are now 85 Airbus A320 Family aircraft, but the massive staff build-up is sorely needed: 21 new Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft will be added by the end of 2018 after the addition of 11 new aircraft in 2017.
By the end of 2024, Wizz Air plans to double its fleet with 160 aircraft.
