Sep 14, 2017 (newstodate): Ukraine International has now announced its plans for launch of new non-stop scheduled flights between Delhi and Kiev.
Starting from May 1, 2018, the carrier will offer three weekly rotations on the route, going up to four weekly rotations already from June 7 and using Boeing 767-300ER aircraft on the route.
Going back in history, India was formerly served by Ukrainian Airlines that suspended its flights to the Indian capital in 1999.
On October 18, 2003, AeroSvit Airlines obtained operational authorization for flights to Delhi by the Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation - but the carrier went bust in summer 2013, and the route between Kiev and Delhi has been unserved since.
