Aug 01, 2017 (newstodate): Starting from this month, the Estonian capacity provider Regional Jet will be operating for SAS on regional routes from Denmark's Copenhagen Airport.
The company landed a six-year contract with SAS in March 2017 covering operations with four ATR72-600 aircraft as a replacement for the Scandinavian carrier's earlier contract with Jet Time.
The first two aircraft have been acquired on lease contracts with Elix Aviation Capital and Castlelake, respectively, that also comprise delivery of a further two aircraft of the same type.
Regional Jet is 49 percent owned by the Polish carrier LOT, and has so far been provider of CRJ 700/900 aircraft capacity for the Estonian carrier Nordica.
At the same time, Regional Jet is reportedly to be re-branded as Nordica Regional.
