Aug 04, 2017 (newstodate): The launch of flights by Ryanair Sun from April 2018 will have its effects on Poland's charter market.
According to Puls Biznes, the Polish charter flights market in 2016 was served primarily by three large carriers with #1 Enter Air lifting 1.2 million passengers, #2 Travel Service lifting one million passengers, and #3 Small Planet Airlines another 879,000 passengers.
That left "other airlines" accounting for less than 14 percent of the market.
It has now been announced that Ryanair Sun has been contracted by TUI to provide uplift for at least part of this tour operator's expected growth in summer 2018, and more contracts are prone to be announced as the schedules for summer 2018 are firming up.
TUI has been a customer with Small Planet Airlines since summer 2015.
