Aug 24, 2017 (newstodate): Performing its first flight on August 23, 2017, one more Airbus A350 aircraft is being readied for delivery to Finnair.
The aircraft to be delivered in September will be the 11th Airbus A350 in Finnair's fleet, and this will close the program of deliveries in 2017.
Finnair received its first Airbus A350 aircraft from Airbus on October 7, 2015 and has placed orders for a total of 19 A350-900 aircraft that will all have been delivered by 2023.
As the first European carrier to take in the Airbus A350, Finnair is today the 4th largest operator of the aircraft type, after Cathay Pacific with 17, Singapore Airlines with 16, and Qatar Airways with 15 Airbus A350 in their fleets.
Out of 848 aircraft so far ordered, a total of 100 Airbus A350 aircraft are now in commercial service.
