Aug 10, 2017 (newstodate): There seems to be no end to the attraction among airlines from Norway's booming seafood export.
The latest new addition to the already impressive freighter traffic at Oslo Airport will be DHL Aviation with two weekly Boeing 747 freighters, flying in from Leipzig and continuing from Oslo to Incheon, South Korea.
The first flight will be on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, followed by a second weekly flight from Friday, September 8, 2017.
DHL is also reportedly to add a second rotation on Fridays to its Tuesday freighter service since May 23, 2017, from Lakselv to Oslo, connecting to the freighter flights on Tuesdays from Oslo Airport.
The entry of the integrator carrier into the Norwegian market for seafood air logistics will be welcomed by the forwarders, but probably less so by the legacy carriers.
Focusing on his current holiday, Trond Orjan Olsen, DHL Head of Airfreight DHL Global Forwarding in Norway, refuses to comment on the news.
