Aug 28, 2017 (newstodate): Russia's St Petersburg Pulkovo Airport has now landed its first foreign low-cost carrier - Wizz Air.
The carrier has launched services on a new route between Budapest and St Petersburg, initially offering two weekly rotations, growing to three weekly rotations from the start of the coming winter schedule, and eventually increasing services to four weekly flights from May 2018.
Established in 2003, Wizz Air now operates a fleet of 81 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, with flights on 500 routes from 28 bases connecting 141 destinations across 42 countries.
