Aug 09, 2017 (newstodate): Mykolaiv International Airport, in the southern parts of Ukraine, was privatized in 2007 - but is today without traffic.
Efforts are now being made to revive the airport that was earlier considered among the largest and most technically equipped airports in the south of Ukraine, and under a reconstruction plan maintenance and renovation works are now in progress to start the process of re-certification of the airport to allow for both scheduled and charter operations.
Equipped with one 2,555m runway, the airport has not been operative since 2014.
