Aug 14, 2017 (newstodate): While rather slow in completing a tender process for a cargo GSSA to shoulder Scandinavian cargo sales on the route to Sweden, Air India has now at least confirmed that it does care for cargo.
ProActive Airlines Services has thus announced that it has been appointed Sales Agent for Air India as of today - which is only two days before the inaugural flight on the route starting from Delhi on August 16, 2017.
Pending the designation of a cargo GSSA, other GSAs in market are thus not precluded from booking shipments on Air India as well.
The route will be operated with a Boeing 787-8 aircraft offering three weekly rotations.
A second route to Scandinavia will follow from September 16, 2017 when Air India starts a similar route between Delhi and Copenhagen, in Denmark.
