Jul 03, 2017 (newstodate): British Airways is planning for two daily flights from London Heathrow to Iceland in the coming winter schedule.
The carrier offered one daily rotation on the route in Winter 2016/17, but the route is becoming more in demand due to a growing number of Chinese passengers with an appetite for Iceland's scenic nature.
With the coming doubling of British Airways' flights to Iceland, the country will have no less than 80 weekly flights to and from London in Winter 2017/18.
British Airways first launched services between London and Iceland from March 2006, but after a long pause the carrier returned again from October 25, 2015 with three weekly rotations.
The single largest provider of these services will remain easyJet with 29 weekly flights between London and Keflavik, followed by Icelandair with 23 and WOW Air with 14 weekly connections.
