Jul 03, 2017 (newstodate): Armenia has seen the launch of its second air carrier: Taron Air.
The privately-owned carrier performed its first commercial flight from Gyumri to Krasnodar, in Russia, on April 25, 2017, with a fleet now comprising three Boeing 737-500 aircraft.
Flights are offered from the carrier's home base at Gyumri Shirak Airport to destinations in Russia including also Rostov-on-Don and Samara, and the latest addition to the network is flights from Gyumri to Moscow Domodedovo Airport starting from June 2017 with one weekly rotations, going up to two weekly rotations from July 23, 2017.
