Jul 06, 2017 (newstodate): Welcoming the first flight by its seventh Chinese carrier on July 5, 2017, Russia's Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport has further bolstered its position as a key hub for China-Europe air traffic.
Newcomer at the airport is Beijing Capital Airlines that is now offering four weekly rotations from Qingdao, in Northern China, using Airbus A330 aircraft.
The airport can thus boast of handling seven Chinese carriers - Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, Tianjin Airlines and now also Beijing Capital Airlines.
In addition, the Russian airlines Aeroflot and Nordwind also provide flights from the airport to Chinese destinations, and the map of Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport now comprises flights to 13 destinations in China: Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan, Xian, Urumqi, Tianjin, Sanya, Lanzhou, Chongqing and Qingdao.
