Jul 06, 2017 (newstodate): Korean Air has developed a strong appetite for summer flights to Europe - with Croatia as the leading market in terms of number of charter flights from Seoul.
During this summer season, Korean Air is operating 10 charter flights to Zagreb, and according to Korean media the carrier's president has said that the next generation of fuel-efficient aircraft will provide an opportunity to improve results and expand in markets such as Croatia - aiming at scheduled services.
Korean Air first started summer flights to Croatia in 2014.
According to the new air services agreement signed in 2015 between Croatia and South Kora, Korean Air would be allowed to operate up to seven weekly rotations between the two countries.
Next on the list of popular summer destinations comes Oslo, in Norway with eight flights from Seoul, Glasgow with four, and Marseilles and Basel with three rotations each.
