Jul 05, 2017 (newstodate): As part of its announced expansion with 12 new destinations, Qatar Airways will launch flights in 2018 between Doha and Kiev, in Ukraine.
The launch date has not yet been announced - but the carrier is actually already recruiting staff in Ukraine.
The carrier has thus announced 14 vacancies in Ukraine, including a director of marketing and e-commerce, a commercial manager, HR specialist, financial director and managers for work at the airport.
The drive for staff in Ukraine is not driven by the coming start of own operations, however.
Rather, the conflict in British Airway between pilots and management has led BA to lease aircraft and crews from oneworld partner airline Qatar Airways that will thus take over a number of flights on behalf of British Airways, including flights on the route between London and Kiev.
