Jul 03, 2017 (newstodate): The positive growth trend in cargo volumes is gaining momentum at Denmark's Billund Airport.
The airport reports an increase in volumes in June 2017 by 16 percent, y-o-y, to 6,065 tonnes including 2,019 tonnes of imports, up 10.3 percent, while exports grew no less than 19.1 percent to 4,046 tonnes.
This brought the total volumes handled in January-June 2017 to 34,155 tonnes, rising 9.9 percent, y-o-y.
During this year's first half, Billund Airport has thus seen import volumes up by 8.3 percent, y-o-y, to 11,940 tonnes, while export volumes were also up by 10.8 percent to a total of 22,215 tonnes.
Last year's H1 totals stood at 31,075 tonnes which was down 2.2 percent on the preceding year.
