Jun 08, 2017 (newstodate): A privately-owned Syrian carrier is planning to resume air services to Armenia in the near future.
The airline, Cham Wing Airlines plans to start services from June 21, 2017, offering one weekly rotation on the route connecting Damascus and Yerevan.
Cham Wings Airlines was founded in 2007 and now operates a fleet comprising two Airbus A320 aircraft on regional routes.
The first flight beween Yerevan and Damascus one was performed in 2012 but later suspended as the Syrian war deepened.
