Jun 21, 2017 (newstodate): The Nordic door-to-door express delivery company Jetpak offers an extra capacity as provider of cargo GSSA services.
Only in the German and Dutch markets, however, where Jetpak Holland is serving as GSSA for the cargo carrier Global Lift operating two Boeing 747 freighters on routes between Europe and Asian destinations including new flights from Amsterdam to Hong Kong starting from June 26, 2017.
-We are certainly not entering the cargo GSSA market as a general addition to our business that remains same/next day door-to-door and customer-specific deliveries, says Kenneth Marx, Jetpak Group CEO.
-The background for our special role as GSSA for a carrier in the German and Dutch markets is purely historical as Jetpak acquired a Dutch company a few years ago to serve as the basis for the opening of this market.
-This Amsterdam-based company, now a subsidiary of Jetpak Group, was primarily doing business as a cargo GSSA which does not exactly match our key role as provider of same/next day deliveries, but we have kept this activity on the sideline in the European context, but not in the Nordic markets.
-GSSA business is certainly not our core competence and remains low-margin business that will not become an element in our strategy, says Mr Marx.
