Jun 12, 2017 (newstodate): The Iranian carrier Mahan Air has not lost its appetite for the Danish market, hoping for a solution to the issues currently keeping the services in suspension.
-We try to solve the case from both sides, Iran and Denmark, and will be back to Scandinavia soon, says Hossein Abdolahi, Mahan Air International Affairs Expert, in response to newstodate's call on Monday morning.
Mahan Air was forced to suspend services on its route between Tehran and Copenhagen earlier this year as an inspection by the Danish authorities revealed that unauthorized armed air marshalls were onboard the flights.
On March 17, 2017, representative from Mahan Air met with the Danish CAA, Trafikstyrelsen, but the meeting seemingly produced no immediate solution to the issue, and the services remain suspended.
Mahan Air launched flights on the route between Tehran and Copenhagen from June 9, 2016, offering two weekly rotations with Airbus A340 aircraft.
