Jun 15, 2017 (newstodate) Plans aired already in January have now been confirmed: WOW Air is to launch direct flights between Iceland and Israel starting from this autumn.
With the first flights on September 12, 2017, the Icelandic LCC WOW Air will be offering four weekly rotations on the route between Keflavik and Tel Aviv using Airbus A321 aircraft.
With the coming new route WOW Air expects to attract traffic between Israel and the USA, with a transit stop at Keflavik Airport.
WOW Air's low-cost flights will thus be competing against El Al, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and Air Canada, all in the air between Israel and North America.
