Jun 08, 2017 (newstodate): Icelandair is streamlining and restructuring its sales and marketing department, with effect from today.
Basic principles in the reorganization are streamlining and slimming of the organizational set-up, and centralizing sales and marketing at the HQs at Reykjavik while cutting down on overseas offices.
The sales and marketing department has consequently been subdivided into seven areas: marketing, sales and service aboard, revenue management, sales divisions, customer support, sales distribution and a new area that underlines the company's policy and is committed to user and service experience.
-It is up to all companies to go through organizational changes and there are many opportunities. With these changes, the airline celebrates its 80th anniversary this year to further pursue a new and agile organization that will sharpen focus, increase efficiency and make our services even better, says Gudmundur Oskarsson, Icelandair Sales and Marketing Director, in a company announcement.
