Jun 7, 2017 (newstodate): Finnair is adding new capacity to its Asian routes with the delivery of its 9th Airbus A350 aircraft on June 2, 2017.
And alreay on the flightline at Toulouse is the carrier's 10th Airbus A350 aircraft having performed its engine-run prior to its first test flight, while delivery is slated for later this month.
Finnair received its first Airbus A350 aircraft from Airbus on October 7, 2015 and has placed orders for a total of 19 A350-900 aircraft that will all have been delivered in 2023.
In the Europe-Asia air traffic market, Finnair is now the biggest European airline to Japan with 28 weekly flights,including up to three times daily to Tokyo, and daily non-stop to Nagoya and Osaka as well as three times weekly to Fukuoka.
Adding to the carrier's own traffic to Japan, Finnair is also sharing Japan Air Lines' daily flights beween Tokyo and Japan, bringing the total traffic to 35 rotations per week.
