Jun 28, 2017 (newstodate): The Estonian capacity provider Regional Jet has taken delivery of two ATR 72-600 aircraft for use on routes served on behalf of SAS starting from August 2017.
The two aircraft have been acquired on lease contracts with Elix Aviation Capital and Castlelake, respectively, that also comprise delivery of a further three aircraft of the same type.
One of these aircraft will, however, be allocated to serving Nordia's routes.
The agreement with Regional Jet spans six years but can be terminated after three.
Regional Jet is 49 percent owned by the Polish carrier LOT, and has so far been provider of CRJ 700/900 aircraft capacity for the Estonian carrier Nordica.
