Jun 23, 2017 (newstodate): Little is heard from Arctic Airways - but the company reports brisk business with focus shifted from the North Atlantics to other markets.
-Our focus is on operations between a number of European and North American destinations together with partners, including a German company that provides aircraft capacity on their German AOC, says Gert Brask, Arctic Airways owner and CEO.
-Given the widespread public dissatisfaction with existing air services in Greenland, we could easily establish flight services between Scandinavia and Greenland, and even domestic flights in Greenland, with short notice.
-But given the generally negative experiences from earlier attempts I'd rather continue to invest in markets and operations offering sound business and a more positive environment.
-We have actually a number of aircraft at our disposal for VIP, charter and other fligthts, and only this weekend we are performing nine flight operations between European and North American destinations.
-The aircraft are, however, not market "Arctic Airways" and our partners and customers generally prefer this anonymity, says Mr Brask.
