May 05, 2017 (newstodate): The Danish aircraft maintenance company Aeroservice has now completed its first major project for the Icelandic airline WOW Air in Keflavik, Iceland.
-We have handed over our first project with WOW Air after working since March 2016 to set up the company's new aircraft line maintenance organization at Iceland's Keflavik Airport, says Andrew Djurhuus, Aeroservice CEO and Accountable Manager.
-We have enjoyed a seamless cooperation with WOW Air, and after the completion of this first major project our cooperation does not stop there. WOW Air continues to build up its staff of competent and certified technicians, but as there is still a shortage of Airbus-certified mechanics in the country we will support with qualified staff and training until all positions are filled with local people.
-Following WOW Air's expansion we are also setting up a small base at Cork, in Ireland, to service the carrier, and plans are of course to gradually expand the customer base there by attracting other airlines with line maintenance service offerings, says Mr Djurhuus.
