May 04, 2017 (newstodate): In a partnership with LOT, the state-owned Estonian carrier Nordica is taking further steps to make Poland's Warsaw Airport the prime transfer hub for the Estonian air travel market.
Starting from June 15, 2017, Nordica will thus launch a third daily frequency on its route between Tallinn and Warsaw, further facilitating the fast and efficient access to a wide range of Polish, European and American destinations served by LOT, including Poznan, Wroclaw, Prague, Budapest, Sofia, Madrid, New York JFK, Chicago and Los Angeles.
With flying times between Tallinn and Warsaw at one hour and 35 minutes, and connecting time in Warsaw around one hour only, Nordica will strengthen Warsaw Airport's competitive power in the Estonian and Baltic transfer market.
In November 2016, LOT acquired 49 percent of the stake in Regional Jet, a Nordica subsidiary and capacity provider to Nordica with own AOC, and starting from November 18, 2016, Nordica moved its commercial platform to LOT Polish Airlines that became the carrier's strategic partner.
