May 29, 2017 (newstodate): Once again, the US carrier Delta Air Lines is back on the route between New York and Moscow.
Starting from May 27, 2017, the carrier is offering five weekly rotations on the route with Boeing 767 aircraft.
Delta suspended the operations with the last flight on September 6, 2016, leaving Aeroflot alone in providing direct nonstop services between Moscow and New York.
Delta Airlines earlier suspended flights on the route from December 2015, citing low demand in the market, returning however from May 16, 2016, with five weekly rotations on the route operated with Boeing 767 aircraft.
Starting from June 2003, Delta Air Lines was the first US carrier to serve Russia nonstop from John F Kennedy International Airport.
