May 23, 2017 (newstodate): Today will be more than just another usually busy Tuesday at Norway's Oslo Airport.
A new record will be set in cargo volumes handled in a single day as 11 freighter operations will lift close to 1,000 tonnes of seafood shipments from Oslo to the global marketplace.
Today's 11 freighter operators will include two flights by Qatar Cargo and two by Turkish Cargo, and one each from Emirates SkyCargo, AirBridgeCargo, Cargolux, CAL Cargo Airlines and Korean Air Cargo, in addition to integrator carriers DHL and UPS.
Today also marks the introduction of a new Airbus A300F freighter operation by DHL from Lakselv to Oslo bringing seafood shipments into Oslo for onward uplift by the freighters.
