May 22, 2017 (newstodate): The plans for a new Russian regional carrier Azimuth Airlines is continuing to take shape.
The carrier has now negotiated the use of the new green-field airport named Rostov-on-Don Platov Airport currently under construction for the 2018 World Cup.
Adn while it earlier said it would start out with four Superjet 100 aircraft, news are out that the carrier will have a fleet of eight Superjet aircraft in 2017 while staff is also being recruited.
Ambitions are to serve a network of some 20 destinations from its home base, with the launch of services by August 2017 already.
