May 26, 2017 (newstodate): The privately-owned Armenian carrier Armenia Aircompany is extending its reach with a number of new international routes in 2017.
Latest addition to the network will be the opening of flights from Yerevan to Prague starting from June 13, 2017, with two weekly rotations using Boeing 737-500 aircraft.
Also launched in 2017 is the route from Yerevan to Tel Aviv, launched on May 17, 2017, with two weekly rotations, as well as flights from Yerevan to Beirut with one weekly rotations from April 10, 2017, going up to four flights from July 2017.
The route to Beirut was served already during the Soviet times, and later the now-defunct carrier Armavia provided flights on the route until 2009.
Armenia Aircompany was founded in November 2015 and commenced operations on April 21, 2016, with flights to Moscow Vnukovo Airport.
In the fleet now are one Boeing 737-500, one Boeing 737-700 and one CRJ-200 aircraft.
